Lazy Lane
The Chills (Fright Night Publishing)

By: Jett Black

Lazy Lane introduces The Chills with a dark lounge act opener called "The Girl Upstairs" about that seductress leading young heathens up into her lair. "Sleepyville Creepshow" takes the skin-crawling cake for creepy bass lines and sultry whispering vocals and eerie halloween noises. Lazy reminds this writer of Mira and Love Spirals music both familiar in that mid-west USA region. Lazy Lane hails from Pittsburg, PA and come by way of recommendation from the guys at Midnight Syndicate. I enjoy all the tracks on this album. One of the inescapable must be "ERASER" which is so immediately sucking me down into the vortex of a black hole at the root of this music and the overlaying lyrics. Rock along steady with the romantic hope that waits inside "Always Tomorrow". 11 tracks on this album also include song titles such as "Black Cat" and "Poltergeist" Looking for something different to set the mood this Halloween? Get THE CHILLS! (A)
