 Blues-influenced, beer-soaked roots-rock, Gutter Swans' Foolishness Meets Vision is a true Americana rock record. Strutting along with a drunken swagger, Gutter Swans put energy and excitement back into the bar-rock format, bashing the songs out with melody for a heart and plenty of fun for the pulse. Foolishness Meets Vision is a loud, unabashed record that has no problem being unoriginal. The band knows what they do and they do it well, capturing your attention when the CD spins and no doubt turning heads at every hole-in-the-wall club they play. I'll give it a B-.
