The new JORN album Out to Every Nation is one of those efforts that fully embraces the heavy metal legacy. Maybe it's the Coverdale vibe, but this sounds like the album that WHITESNAKE would have made if instead of hitting it big in the U.S. they had stayed a strictly European phenomenon. It's a clash of melody and power in the classic hard rock/heavy metal vein. Fans who remember the hard rocking 70s and 80s will think they've died and gone to, well, a WHITESNAKE concert.
