Laibach Jesus Christ Superstar (Mute/Libtech Records) By: Allen Dougherty
![](/images/sep.gif) The first review for this month is Jesus Christ Superstars' album. This is a little different from the Laibach of the past. The hard industrial feel is still there on several songs but the album as a whole tends to lean towards a more heavy metal feel, lots of explosive guitar riffs and even a less electrical feel. Overall the album is very solid and well produced. The covers are still here (i.e. the title track and even a cover of Prince's "The Cross.") All in all a very good effort from this veteran industrial band from Slovenia. Released by Mute/Libtech, order info can be found on the web by searching for MUTE.
