Deviates
My Life (Theologian Records)

By: Jeb Branin

The DEVIATES are an adrenaline charged band whose snappy punk is an even mix of melody and fire. With pop punk struggling to retain credibility within the ranks of the underground to which it is being forced to return, it is invigorating to hear a band like this whose music has all the hooks of great pop but doesn't sacrifice an iota of the grit and grime of the streets. With spasmodic beats and crisp guitar work topped by strong vocal melodies this is a band who will garner a lot of attention with this mature yet snotty rawk. If you are looking for pop punk with an edge and just a hint of angst and cynicism then this is well worth your hard stolen cash.
