mytown (Cherry/Universal Music)

By: Alex Steininger

This four-piece boy pop band comes in the tradition of all the other marketing gimmicks and previous teen heartthrob bands before and after them. Yep, they're another Backstreet Boys-like band that is here to sell themselves to the young girls of world who eat this crap up. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, I'm sure the record label thinks the accent and the foreign status of the band will make them easily marketable to the masses.

As you can guess, the music is cheap, knock-off pop that sounds like all the other similar stuff already out there. Just what the world needs, another one of these bands. This offers up nothing new, as expected; it is geared towards the look of the band more-so than the music. I'm sure girls will like this, but I don't know why. There really isn't anything here to like. I'll give it an F.
