Josie Kreuzer As Is (SheDevil) By: Geoff Melton

Several years ago the music industry saw a bit of a women's movement through both the Lilith Fair and a surge of female artists topping the charts. While virtually every genre was affected, one that still remained more of a man's world was rockabilly, but if Josie Kreuzer keeps it up that's likely to change. Kreuzer's sophomore solo effort (she was also in LA's all-female rockabilly band Whistle Bait) contains some of the best rockabilly currently on the market, bursting with soulful vocals, a bit of torch, some Patsy Cline country, hooks to die for and a top-notch backing band. Watch out guys, Josie's coming.
