The Minklungs The Better Button (Arena Rock Recording Co.) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
Lo-fi, fuzzy rock music with a soft spot for pop, The Minklungs can create spacey atmosphere, charged, full throttle rock, and subtle pop songs, sometimes in the same song. Fronted by a female and a male, when the man sings, the songs lean more towards the subtle, slow moving pop spectrum. But, when the female takes center stage, the songs are balls-to-the-wall, manic powerhouses ready to rip right into you. A bit too schizophrenic for me, The Minklungs take a while to get into. When you do, though, they'll have you under their spell. I'll give it a B-. 15
