The Rachel Nevada's Viva Problems (Jub-Jub Records) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
Raw, hard-hitting power-pop rock, The Rachel Nevada's are unbelievably raw. But, just as they are raw, they are also quite promising, offering up glimpse upon glimpse of a band with a skill to write catchy, rocking pop nuggets. Though, on Viva Problems, the band is unsure whether they want to be a loud rock, power-pop, or pop-punk act, choosing instead to blend all these styles into a mess that sometimes hides their crafty pop leanings. I'll give this a C-. 15
