Start Static (Ultimatum Music)

 Sugarcult's Start Static is made for radio, hook-laden pop-punk alt. rock. Though, don't let that scare you off. This is not Stroke 9 meets Blink 182. Sugarcult delivers sugary sweet melodies, a rhythm section that means business, and plenty of crystal clear vocals and teen anthem-esque lyrics that you'll instantly relate with or they'll take you back to when you were younger and help you make some sense of things back then. Whichever way you look at it, the band plays potent modern rock with the right amount of flair. If you don't believe me, listen to their first single, "Stuck In America," an undeniably catchy, off-the-wall rocker. I'll give this a B+.
