The Clancy Six
Process of Corpse Decomposition (The Clancy 6)

By: Jeb Branin

THE CLANCY SIX rip through 16 tracks of spastic and screechy thrash on this new CD. This is one of those bands that present themselves well any way you look at it. Their lyrics are a mix of intelligent political observations and insightful personal reflections with lots of medical references(?). Musically they are pretty straight forward. They just plug it in and kick it out. As I said they are definitely thrash but with a distinct contemporary vibe... like they learned the lessons of emo-thrash and then rejected them. Even the bands website it great... nothing fancy, just the facts someone into the band might want. I wish more were like it. The first batch of these songs were recorded specifically for this CD and the second half were culled from an early demo. I actually like he demo tracks better. The songs are not significantly different, just a bit rawer and more straight forward with less effects on the vox. Good stuff.
