 A couple of issues back, we discussed the horrors of unauthorized star documentaries; why they suck/are complete rip-offs/wastes of time. Here we have four of the most heinous star docs (although Losing Aaliyah will reign as the most sucktastic for some time), half-assed attempts to profile the Unholy Four Britney, Christina, N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys. As per usual, they contain no music from the "artists" (the titles' one true redeeming quality) and are loaded with testimonies from hangers-on, obsessive...even, in some cases, casual...fans and outdated scrap footage. I watched them all in one afternoon. I'm writing this from the fifth-floor psych ward of the nearest hospital participating with my health insurance plan. F
