Ten Foot Pole
Bad Mother Trucker (Victory Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Their first post-Epitaph release, Bad Mother Trucker finds Ten Foot Pole trying to fit in with their new label, Victory Records. Pushing their pop-punk to the limit, they drop the Southern California glow Epitaph is known for and adhere to a tougher edge courtesy of the Victory label. The result is a less melodic, less infectious, but equally rocking, if not more powerful sound that, although sounds very similar track to track, still rocks you plenty good. And though the Ten Foot Pole of old is the one I prefer, they make a good punk band abandoning the generic pop-punk for an equally general street punk sound. I'll give it a C.
