Whatever Happened To You (Generic Joe Music)

 Fairly generic, basic guitar, bass, and percussion male singer-songwriter folk with a hippie slant, Dodd Michael Lede's Whatever Happened To You is coffee house rock at best, a bland, unmoving folk-rock record that is best described as learning-as-it-goes. Dodd Michael Lede seems to put a lot of heart and belief in his music, trusting the songs as they trust him, as he confides in his own writing and exploration behind the instrumentation. But that is not enough to really compel you to do anything but give it a few listens and be through with it. I'll give it a C-.
