Allman Brothers Band Hittin' The Note (Sanctuary Records) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
Influential 70's rock act The Allman Brothers Band are back with their latest, Hittin' The Note, a CD that doesn't deviate from their tried and true sound, but in not doing so, offers up a familiar combination of jazz, funk, blues, rock, and more blues. Their jam-band, rock 'n' roll sensation alive after over 30 years, and they still sound as fresh and energetic as ever, a testament to the power of their music and the soul within. I'll give it a B-.
