Always Sunday
Beautiful Disgrace (Always Sunday)

By: Alex Steininger

On their 11-song demo, Always Sunday's songwriting is crisp and clear, straight ahead and melodic, instantly grabbing you, fusing enough rock with their pop, and enough pop with their rock to become an instantly hooky band. Balancing between indie-rock and commercial aspirations, the band finds solace in-between, staying hip and clever enough to get the indie kids dancing and singing their praise, but keeping things shiny and hooky enough to interest a corporate label into snagging them up to shape them for future use. As they stand, they're rough around the edges and a bit raw, and it gives their songs that much extra ump! Listening to this demo, you can't help but anxiously wait for their next move, and thus their next output. I'll give it a B-.
