Bathtub Shitter
Lifetime Shitlist (Shitjam)

By: Jeb Branin

It is hard to believe that this is the first full-length release from these fairly prolific grindcore goofballs. Their oddball sense of humor and fascination with all things poop, only slightly detracts from the dual vocal grind assault that is the band's bread and butter. I can't help but describe the low end vocals as "sewer growls" in spite of the lame pun. The high end vox are throat-shredding screeches. The music makes a mockery of all things melodic and has been known to crack the Earth's crust when played loud enough. The album and the band are unapologetically for only the purest of grind fans. One of the things I find oddly appealing about this band is their variation of song length. The songs range from 36 seconds to five minutes and in that, they remain true to a precedent set as early as NAPALM DEATH. A WITCHFINDER GENERAL cover is a hysterical choice and they do a great job with it, although the song in question "No Stayer" is one of those stupid "it is cool to use a woman and throw her away" kind of songs that so infested many of the NWOBHM and U.S. metal bands in the early 80s.
