 Is it just me or are bands that don't take themselves too seriously at a premium anymore? ESPECIALLY bands that have tongue in cheek but still know how to kick it out? If you miss the silly, snotty, "we have no opinion on world affairs but can recommend a good taco shop" kind of bands, then you may want to track down the LAZY AMERICAN WORKERS' "Surf Lake Erie" CD. Best of all, you'll find some fairly frantic hardcore on this shiny lil' disk. Certainly nothing innovative, but for those times you just wanna ROCK, this is gonna fit the bill. Apparently L.A.W. features a member of GWAR, but don't let that fact discourage you. Unlike GWAR, this is definitely worth owning! Includes an IRON MAIDEN cover and a WHO bridge. Gotta love that.
