The Kill
superdragsmackheadpsychoplasticgogopunk (Forbidden Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Imagine heavy metal and industrial colliding and forming one sound. That's what The Kill, from Florida, sound like. Your standard 80's metal vocals blended with loud, thick guitars and a fierce rhythm section, this band brings everything you hated about the 80's and modernizes it with an industrial touch.

As I listened to this album, I couldn't help but be reminded about all those 80's glam-metal bands I hated so much. And as I sat there and continued listening, I came to the realization that this band could fit right in there with my bad 80's memories. Heavy and angry, the music had a slight industrial feeling which game it some interesting moments, but with metal always the foundation, I got a headache just listening to it. I tried, I really did, but after just one full listen I had already burned thirty minutes of my time on all this noise, and only about three minutes of the whole experience even came close to grabbing my attention. I'll give this CD a D-.
