Bela Exit Music (Mother West Records) By: Geoff Melton
![](/images/sep.gif)
By incorporating cello and theremin into the traditional drum, bass, guitar and vocals this NYC quartet has created a purely captivating sixteen minutes of lush, moody, at times psychedelic pop on this debut EP. While there's not a bad cut in the batch, the definite standout here is "Symphony For the Sharks", a tune oddly reminiscent of early REM. My only complaint with Exit Music is that six cuts is just not enough.
