The Cruxshadows
The Mystery of the Whisper (Dancing Ferret Discs)

By: DJ Dysdynia

From the group that spawned "Marilyn, My Bitterness" arises a new chapter, "The Mystery of the Whisper". The Cruxshadows have carried dancefloor success since their first release, Telemetry of a Fallen Angel, and continued with their remixed EP Until the Voices Fade. From the beginning, this group has intertwined esoteric mystery, with upbeat dancing energy, intelligent emotional lyrics, and unique vocals. Mystery of the Whisper takes a deep darker edge to the Cruxshadows music. Many of the tracks such as "Confusion," "Sympathy (for tomorrow)," "Aten-Ra," and "Even Angels Fall" are beautifully orchestrated pieces with slow tempos. Mystery of the Whisper still contains strong beats, layered electronics and melodic guitar. The Cruxshadows is evolving, involving and moving. The music is becoming more personal, and the sound is well woven. The group chemistry is evident through the songs. This is a great continuance of a great band.
