Greetings From Burkittsville (Invisible Records)

By: DJ Dysdynia

Invisible Records has defined the functionality of music with the first release of it's kind. Greetings from Burkittsville is an alternate score to the summer hit "Blair Witch Project." It's creator, Sisyphus ( an invisible record employee alibi, maybe?), adds atmosphere from eerie and melodic to racy and pounding.

In addition, Greetings from Burkittsville is diverse in it's purpose. Not many artists put out an independent CD with music to compliment or enhance a movie. It's a great idea, music can add so much to an entertainment experience. Props to Sisyphus for being able to take music, mold it and create a mood.

Personally, I hated Blair Witch Project. It should have been called "Teenagers Can't Stop Arguing in the Woods." If I put in "Greetings from Burkittsville," start it at the coffin rock scene and turn the TV all the way down, the movie actually becomes bearable.
