The Frustrators (fansite)
Bored In The USA (Adeline Records)

By: Jeb Branin

It just isn't often anymore that I get a really fun punk disc that makes me want to get up off the couch and get down on the dance floor... But damn sam, THE FRUSTRATORS do just that. Whether it be the snotty SHAMROCK SHAKES (sorry for the obscure reference) kinda tune like "I Slept With Terry", the pure pop of "Then She Walked Away", the quasi-surf of "East Bay Of Urden Bay" or even the BLONDIE cover "Living In The Real World" this is just about as much fun as a person can legally have with a shiny piece of plastic. The infectiousness of the music is only part of what makes this CD impressive. I am also blown away by the fact that amongst the eight songs on here there are not any two that sound alike or use the same hook to make the catch. Diversity is not something that pop punk is known for but I dare say it is the calling card of THE FRUSTRATORS. "Bored In The USA"? Not after you get this CD.
