Marz
Lung Fu Mo She (Emagine)

By: Geoff Melton

Ten years in the making, band mastermind and frontman Zlatko (Bobby) Hukic has created a refreshing foray in the rap-metal genre, and one that really stands out from the pack with Lung Fu Mo She, which has this former Ministry guitarist teaming up with old bandmates Louis Svitek (guitars) and Rey Washam (drums) along with Troy Fourley (bass), Pat De La Garza (guitars) and Robert Hill (keyboards). Where others in the genre largely appear to be rap and metal thrown together and not much more, Marz goes deeper. Dark industrial beats and occasional ethereal grooves merge with buzzsaw guitars and driving hip-hop vocals to take their sound to the next level. Forget Limp Bizkit and the even lamer wannabes and check out Marz.
