Styx
Styxworld Live 2001 (CMC International)

By: Alex Steininger

Littered with 80's arena rock and power ballads, Styx is back with a vengeance. Unleashing a collection of twelve songs recorded on their 2001 World Tour, Styxworld Live 2001 is a nostalgia act just dying to be heard and remembered. Delivering all the hits, including the sing-along power ballad "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" and the completely 80's "A Criminal Mind", Styx are drowning, but paddling hard to save themselves. And while gasping for air, they manage to deliver a good-time rock record that will bring a tear to your eyes as you remember when they were popular. I'll give this a C.
