Live + One (Epitaph)

By: Alex Steininger

From one of the greatest pop-punk bands of all time (alongside The Ramones, sure, but also the Descendents), All's guitar-driven, pop-laden punk assault has always been equal parts candy coated fun and tongue-in-cheek punk rock mayhem. Their latest release, Live + One is a greatest hits meets live album, packing some of the most memorable All moments onto one disc, fueled by the sweat and liveliness of the band.

Sure, their studio stuff is grand; it's just so saccharine and tightly produced. However, their live CD gives off another side to the band, the punk rock, manic side, the side that proves that this band is more than mere pop hooks and a few catchy melodies. They're capable of rocking you through your very last breath, before you dehydrate or pass out from all the joys of All. I'll give it an A.15
