Now It's Overhead (Saddle Creek)

 Slightly poppy, slightly rocking, Now It's Overhead deliver an almost-emo indie-pop record that is tough to get into. There are no real hooks, nothing really emotionally gripping (which makes the album non-emo), and nothing overwhelming. Just a casual indie rock record. However, the instrumentation and production are such that after listening to the album several times, it will grow on you. You still won't be blown away, but it will be listen-able and something that you may put on time to time and enjoy. I'll give it a C.
