 A dark, blossoming record, Thalia Zedek's Been Here and Gone combines the eloquence of piano with the rawness of an electric guitar. With a lot going on in each song, including passionate lyrics, Zedek captures emotion in its rawest form, delivering it in a low-key way, passing through with intricate, mellow beats and a versatile rhythm section capable of playing along with the dark and the slightly upbeat. This is a progressive record that reels you in from the word go, capturing your thoughts until the final note has passed. I'll give this a B.
