Visitations Visitations (Happy Happy Birthday To Me) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
This is an experimental pop album with plenty of rock and quirky influences. The disc plays like a circus freak sideshow, from the numerous samples to the toying around throughout, so it is hard to take it seriously. It is a concoction of everything American, which is its charm. But, with its distinct, tongue-in-cheek sound (not to mention satirical lyrics) comes those who just don't get it, like myself. I listened to it a few times and each time it clicked with me a bit more, but when all was said and done, it hadn't completely clicked with me. I'll give it credit for being original and a risk taker, but as far as cohesive or something to listen to more than a few times, it falls short. I'll give it a C-.
