Louise Goffin Sometimes A Circle (Dreamworks Records) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
Piano-centric pop songs that glow with beauty, singer-songwriter Louise Goffin's Sometimes A Circle is a nearly flawless album of soft, delicate pop bliss and spacey melodies wrapped around teary vocals that make you want to break down and cry. Starting off with the hook-laden single of choice and title track, a pop song raved up as a dance number when the chorus hits, Goffin takes you on a journey of lush, sparse, and soothing pop. Whether it's the old-time feel of "Sleep With Me Instead" or the soulful pop of "Just Bone and Breath," Goffin proves herself to be one of the most promising songwriters in 2002. A talent that will be a household name if all goes according to plan. I'll give it an A.
