DVD: The Fog (MGM)

 John Carpenter's followup to the original Halloween sees ghostly pirates coming back from a watery grave, intent on punishing the town that was founded on their blood. And the want their booty back. Scary, for the time of its release, but some suspension of critical thinking is required. Two of the special features, both making-of featurettes, are interesting if only to see Carpenter's metamorphosis from mullethead to cryptkeeper. (B)
