 Crunchy, guitar-laden, hook-filled punk-gone-pop, The All-American Rejects play power-pop with sweet harmonies and dangerous guitars, forgoing the bouncy, sugary style of most power-pop bands, shaking it up, and rocking it out. Their self-titled full-length is a driven, energetic, and instantly infectious collection of rock 'n' roll songs that knows how to play pop with a lot of fun. This is what Weezer could have, would have done had they not fallen all over themselves - and grown up on punk as much as pop. Buzzing guitars, hooks, and structure you want to see as much as hear, The All-American Rejects deliver the goods. I'll give it a B+.
