Trucker Crank / No Room for Fuzzy
Split 7" [grey marble vinyl] (Villain Records)

By: Jeb Branin

These two bands may be the saviors of Las Vegas. Without a doubt they are the best hardcore bands I've heard out of sin city in a long time. TRUCKER CRANK raise the "oldschool hardcore pride" banner and pay homage to the classic Boston and Washington harDCore scenes. You won't find any traces of metal in these grooves. They even do a DESCENDENTS cover and make it sound more like F.U.s. Great stuff. NO ROOM FOR FUZZY is more of the same with a bit more melody and a hint of 1st wave skatecore. The record is even pressed on my favorite color of vinyl, marbled grey (yes, I'm such a dork I have a favorite color of vinyl). There were only 300 of these made and the record has been out a long while so finding it will even bring back the oldschool curse of having to hunt forever to find a record you've read about.
