 Americana you can dance too. The Gourds' Cow Fish Fowl and Pig is a country party record, a smile-wearing hootenanny of strong songwriting, playful instrumentation, and a live, off the cuff vibe that makes you feel as if these guys are jamming out in your backyard, providing entertainment for you and your guests. And though the songs are fun and delightful, they are to be taken seriously, too. This is well-written music you can put on and feel good about, despite your mood, because it's hard to listen to this and not feel like laughing and smiling. I'll give it a B.
