Faux Jean Nature (Susstones Records) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
A six-piece rock outfit, Faux Jean's Nature is equal parts Brit-pop and psychedelic a la My Bloody Valentine. Rich and melodic, their songs are full sounding and loud, taking its lead from the guitar-rock embedded in its soul. Though the instrumentation, the layered arrangements, and the mixing is on par with the British pop it emulates, their slight-psychedelic approach giving the songs enough flair to set them apart from all the others. I'll give it a B-.
