Troubled Hubble Penturbia (Latest Flame Records) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
Playful rock 'n' roll dowsed in pop, Troubled Hubble's youthful exuberance reminds me of Buddy Holly-influenced punk rock meets indie-rock dabbling in retro rock. The songs have that punch, a hard-hitting punk-esque feel to it (courtesy of the rhythm section, most notably the drums), while maintaining a knack for budding hooks. All and all, a promising debut from a band that, if Penturbia is any indication, will be kicking out the jams for years to come, and only getting better at it. I'll give this a B.
