Les Baton Rouge
Chloe Yurtz (Elevator Music)

By: Alex Steininger

Les Baton Rouge's Chloe Yurtz EP is a full-throttle attack of old school punk rock. Short and to the point, as most punk rock records are (and should be), the six songs and nineteen minute length of this CD fly by with a blink of the eye. Conjuring up plenty of noise, volume, and, undoubtedly, chaos, Les Baton Rouge's sound sounds classic and contemporary, fitting in well with the recordings it is influenced by, while also fitting in nicely with its modern day contemporaries doing the same thing. It's spirited, energetic, fun, with some venom, an all around complete punk rock package. I'll give it a B.
