The Silent Circus (Sound Pollution)

 I got a pretty good chuckle out of the title of the new BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME album. It is called "The Silent Circus"; this sucka is anything but silent. In fact, this is one of the better DEP inspired albums I've heard of late. Very metallic and grinding, not unlike BURNT BY THE SUN, this band is gonna peel the enamel off your smile. They use stop-and-go riffs and atmospheric interjections very effectively giving them quite a bit of distinctiveness in a scene that increasingly lacks any. On the strength of this release, Victory Records joins Relapse and Robotic Empire as key labels in the DEP-esque revolution.
