Molly
The Finger (Idol Records)

By: Alex Steininger

Molly's The Finger blends pop-punk fury with modern rock power, ensuring a dynamic, thrilling, if not concussion-causing ride that will leave you sweating and smiling. From the propulsive "Punk Rock Girl", with its charged guitars and crashing rhythm section, through the loud, punk-rock-bred "Blue Mondays", the band shows they have the muscles and chops to carry this sound far. A little diversity never hurt anyone and on the acoustic "Another Day of Regrets", the band showcases their sensitive side, delivering a ballad that will find you singing along, and will leave plenty satisfied before the rock comes wailing down on you again with "Weary", another guitar-driven nugget. I'll give this a B.
