This is an interesting dozen bluegrassy songs that are solid and deserve a listen or five. From the opening title track to the closing Black Sabbath cover of "War Pigs" (you heard me), this is one of the best albums I've heard in I don't know how long. I'm not a fanatical bluegrass person, so I can't speak intelligently about this album on those terms. I'll tell you this: Once through the CD and I spent the next two days humming the title track. I enjoy every song for a different reason, and since it's difficult anymore to find an album that doesn't fit the X hit singles + Y filler songs formula, I'm thrilled to death to be listening to something that doesn't flip the "oh, that's a single" switch in my brain. Wonderful lyrics of unrequited longing and solid musicianship compel me to recommend this to anyone looking for a change in their personal musical landscape. I give it an A-.
