 NYHC outfit On the Rise come out swinging on the quintet's supercharged 12-track release. Produced by hardcore stalwart Roger Miret, the passion employed by this quintet is unbridled, as tracks such as the "Dawn of a New Millenium" and "Blank Stare" hit you in the gut as hard as a wind-milled kick from the pit. Staying true to the group's hardcore roots, On the Rise's melodic fury, found on such tracks as "Far Behind", evokes the days when Warzone, Gorilla Biscuits, and Agnostic Front were headlining CBGB's on a regular Sunday matinee basis. If you enjoy high-energy, powerful hardcore, On the Rise's latest album will not disappoint.
