Sugar Ray Floored (Atlantic) By: Caitlin Richling
![](/images/sep.gif) Get ready to be "Floored"! The L.A.-based band, Sugar Ray, has come out with another album (after 1995's "Lemonade and Brownies"), and they are climbing the charts with their world-wide hit "Fly" featuring Jamaica's Supercat."Floored", being their second album, is no fluke. Although Fly is really the only more-or-less mellow song on the album, Sugar Ray is steadily entertaining with nice melodies and grooves. They manage to maintain this consistency while spreading over a wide variety of rock- from ever popular "Fly" to the pulse-pounding, energized "Speed Home California". With this record, Sugar Ray has marked their spot in the music industry. These California bad boys will be around for a while!
