Billy Dechand Pop Another Cork (Muss My Hair Records) By: Jeb Branin
![](/images/sep.gif)
I was at an absolute loss as to how to capsulize this CD in just a few lines of text until I read the description of this sound as provided by Mr. Dechand and his label Muss My Hair Records. They call it "Chamber Pop". I hate to be one to perpetuate the attaching of sub-genre tags to music but strictly as a description "chamber pop" is perfect. Mr. Dechand takes the accessibility and easily recognized trappings of pop and deliver them in a vein that has the emotional immediacy and downright class of chamber music. Even the production and mixing of the CD has a very "live" feel to it. Live not as in "unpolished" but as in you can feel as much as hear the music.
