SOS
SOS, The Mob And The Limo Love Scam (3:16 Productions)

By: Jeb Branin

SOS plays a hard driving brand of rawk n' roll. They combine a sleazy, sweaty, blood soaked bar boogie with a white hot passion that burns like a bomb packed in the fuselage of a 747. Everything is guitar driven from start to finish with bombastic rhythms providing the uppercut punch. The beer soaked vocals that are definitely contemporary but are steeped in the raspy blues singing that has been the staple of rock music since day one. The only drawback on the entire album is the mediocre songwriting that creeps into a couple of songs, which wouldn't be so noticeable if not for the contrast to the predominantly superior cuts.
