Minibar Road Movies (Universal/Cherry) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
Light, poppy folk-rock, Minibar's Road Movies is typical in every way imaginable. The lyrics are run-of-the-mill stories of roads traveled and uncertainty. The vocals are worn and tired, but chugging along as only they can. And the backing band delivers a melancholy pop injection into the tired, road tested sound that lives up front. Having said that, they do folk-pop better than most bands, allowing their CD to stay playing in the background as you do other things. I'll give it a C+.
