Lifer Lifer (Universal Records) By: Alex Steininger
Harking back to the early Seattle days (a la Alice in Chains) while mixing it with plenty of hard rock/metal with a modern rock slant, Lifer seems like the perfect band for the radio. They are lacking any real emotion, choosing to overpower any feelings with noise and Korn-esque rap-screams alongside generic rock, as well as any real mesmerizing beats. In one ear and out the other, these guys are destined to stay with the flow of the modern hard rock band. And when that trend is over, they'll fade away like the rest of them. I'll give this a D. 15
