The Casualties
Die Hards (Side One Dummy)

By: Alex Steininger

Run-of-the-mill street punk, The Casualties sound like a bunch of punkers who picked up instruments, cranked something out, and then started playing shows. Not that there is anything wrong with that, mind you. Punk rock was founded on this idea, picking up instruments, hammering something down that you felt and meant, and then trying to spread the word while having fun. And The Casualties certainly have fun, playing aggressively and energetically throughout every track.

I will say, there isn't a dull moment on this CD. The songs may be redundant and sound like everything else, but they're far from lackluster. They're filled with plenty of excitement and love for what they're doing. And for that I will give them credit. I'll give it a C.15
