Slumber Party Psychedelicate (Kill Rock Stars) By: Alex Steininger
Slumber Party's Pyschedelicate is oddly apt titled. A mixture of delicate pop sweetness and an eerie, light psychedelic influence, the album moves along at a steady pace, never taking any sharp turns or making any bold statements. It doesn't need to. The female vocals are enthralling, so beautifully crafted and wrapped around the songs, you can't help but be instantly swallowed by them. Then there is the faint instrumentation that brings everything into perspective, adding the necessary colors to the songs to make them jump out at you. Quite a compelling indie pop delight, to say the least, I'll give it an A. 15
