15 Drunken, rough-edged hee-haw acoustic country, The Pounders make the timid scream, rocking it up with the bare essentials. The acoustic guitar wails, the mandolin burns, and the bass fiddle soars, all giving the songs the fire they need to really drive home their point. But, not only are these damn fine drinking songs, they're also quite fun and entertaining, never taking themselves too seriously, always whooping it up and having a blast. Still, the songs are raw, with a very home-recorded feeling to them. But, you can't destroy a fun song no matter how poorly recorded, and The Pounders make the best of it all, churning out country songs straight from the heart of the city. I'll give it a B-. 15
