Hot Water Music A Flight and a Crash (Epitaph) By: Alex Steininger
![](/images/sep.gif)
Knuckles to the ground, bass-heavy punk rock with throaty vocals that sing rather than scream, Hot Water Music twist and mold pop for their own punk creation, a melting pot of loud, abrasive hardcore, hook-laden pop, and gritty punk. The outcome is an offshoot punk sound that refuses to be pigeonholed as pop-punk, but still manages to keep some of the pop essence alive. I'll give it a B.
